Another E.I.S. aircraft based at Kiel Airport

(Kiel, 18th November 2016) E.I.S. Aircraft, located at the Airport Kiel-Holtenau, adds another aircraft to its fleet. On behalf of the German Armed Forces, E.I.S. Aircraft provides slow target simulation services taking off from Kiel-Holtenau. The new PC 12 aircraft is a single-engined turboprop aircraft for multiple use, manufactured at Pilatus Aircraft in Switzerland. The aircraft suitable for versatile utilization, was transferred from the USA to Kiel at the beginning of November. After the approval process conducted in southern Germany and taking several weeks, the aircraft will be permanently based in Kiel. Then it will be put into operation and perform its role in different training flight profiles and flight security assignments. Furthermore, the aircraft is supposed to simulate targets and situations. It will be manned with 1 or 2 pilots and an operator. The cruising speed amounts to approx. 520 km/h and the maximum operation time is four to five hours.
