Ships arriving in our port for the very first time are always a special highlight. They are welcomed by early morning water fountains when they float majestically along the Kiel Fjord to their berths. This season, we welcome no less than nine cruise ships for their inaugural calls in the PORT OF KIEL.
Kiel Week – the largest sailing event in the world and moreover, it is a music festival and culinary world tour at the same time. Three million visitors come to Kiel just for the Kiel Week every year. The event is also a famous destination for cruise ships.
