Management change at the Airport Kiel-Holtenau
Marcus Breuer takes over the operational reins at the regional airport.

(Kiel, 1st December 2023) Marcus Breuer will take over as Operations Manager at FLUGHAFEN KIEL GmbH on 1st December 2023, succeeding the long-standing Operations Manager Michael Schlaeger, who is leaving his position for age reasons and will support the airport in an advisory capacity in future. Mr Schlaeger has worked at the Airport Kiel-Holtenau since 1993 and has been Operations Manager since 2008.

"We would like to thank Michael Schlaeger for the many years of close and good cooperation. He has played a key role in the development of the Airport Kiel. We wish him all the best for the future," says Volker Prange, Managing Director of FLUGHAFEN KIEL GmbH.

Prange welcomes the personnel succession and emphasises: "With Mr Breuer, an experienced pilot with first-class flying skills is taking over the management of operations. Most recently, as Aerodome Flight Information Officer (AFISO) and Deputy Operations Manager, he helped drive forward promising investment projects at the airport," says Volker Prange, Managing Director of FLUGHAFEN KIEL GmbH.

Marcus Breuer has been working for the Airport Kiel-Holtenau since March 2022. In his new role as Operations Manager, Marcus Breuer, like his predecessor, also holds the role of authorised signatory at the airport. Mr Breuer can look back on extensive flying experience: he completed his pilot training at the Lufthansa School Bremen after the Air Force Officer School and has extensive flying training. ###
