Sea Lynx

Sea Lynx touches down at Airport Kiel.

After it had been on display at the Open Ship event at the naval base during Kiel Week, a German Navy Sea Lynx helicopter with a special livery made a stop-off at Airport Kiel.

The Sea Lynx naval helicopters have been serving as ship-based helicopters on frigates since 1981. Their equipment and armament are designed for anti-submarine warfare, but their capabilities also include maritime surveillance, the transport of personnel and equipment, and sea rescue operations.
